Co-founded Hyper Active, inc. in 1989 with a focus on writing GUI based software applications using industrial strength databases such as Oracle, Digital RDB, SQL Server, etc. During this time, we created leading edge products for industry leaders such as Sterling Software, Novell, and Apple to name a few. We also provided several years of development efforts to one of the largest Navy Bases in the United States, providing innovative and creative edge technologies in a structure that was largely known to be slow moving and unwieldy. These experiences along with our knowledge of EDI led to the purchase of Hyper Active by HTP, a company that provided electronic data interchange gateway software for health plans.
During my tenure at HTP, I built the development team that in turn created a full featured, cloud based Revenue Cycle Software offering for hospitals. Within three years, this product was so successful that HTP was purchased by McKesson, the largest healthcare organization in the world.
I continued with McKesson for the next 8 years and continued to lead the software development teams as the product continued to evolve, processing several million real-time transaction daily along with batch transactions.
My early entrepreneurial spirit and lessons learned coupled with my deep understanding of large companies and cultural knowledge has provided me with invaluable insights that I am now eager to pass on.
